Mrs. B is a lovely 2-year-old calico who’s ready to find her forever home! Having spent her early days outdoors, she's now grown quite fond of the comforts of indoor life. Mrs. B has adjusted well to her cozy surroundings and is absolutely thriving.
She’s a little sensitive around other cats, preferring to be the only queen of her castle. Mrs. B doesn’t get aggressive—she just gets a bit stressed and may give a little growl to let you know she’s not a fan of feline roommates. This sweet girl bonds beautifully with people, especially if there’s food involved!

Tulip is full of personality and about 2 years old. She is shy of new people and needs some time to settle in. Once she is comfortable, she is talkative and attention-seeking. She will give head bumps and will want pets from her person. Tulip likes her space and gets along with cats that respect that. She is scared of dogs and kids. Tulip prefers a quiet home that she can be comfortable in. She doesn’t like to be picked up, but once she’s used to her person, she will allow them to hold her. She’s a shy girl with a little spicy side but also sweet too. Tulip does great with her family after she acclimates to her new home.

Domino is a super sweet black kitty (ear tipped) who was rescued in a colony at a young age but he was too young/small to go back. This gentle soul has been living with his foster family for 9 months, gaining confidence and learning that being inside was safe. He absolutely loves getting attention and will arch his back and jump up to meet your hand. Sometimes he gives gentle nibbles to show you he wants more attention. He can be a little skittish, he does not like to be held, but once he's comfortable he is a dedicated kitty that will be so happy to see you. We just know the perfect person is out there for this special guy.

Hi! My name is Clifford. In my short 3 years, life has been quite the adventure and because of that, my foster mom wants to make sure I find THE perfect home this time because I come with some special qualifications these days… as a kitten I was adopted out with my best friend, my sister, to a nice family in CT. Unfortunately, the story goes, I was getting bullied once more cats joined our family so I was rehomed (against the rules of the rescue) and a few months later I was found injured by a nice man who got me the help I needed. The animal control officer in CT was able to reunite me with my original foster mom in NC because of my handy dandy microchip! (What a life saver that thing was!) My foster mom may never know the whole story as to why I was found the way I was but she knows that adventure sure scared me. I am quite hesitant to make new friends right now and I am looking for a home where I can be the king of my own castle! I love cuddling with my human and I am quite the talker when I finally get to see you after a long day. I need a mellow home, no children under 12, as I still can get over stimulated which makes me nervous and that’s when the typical orange bipity-paps come over me. I really like being around my humans too so it would be super cool if you work from home and I can help you with emails or if you’ve done your time and you’re now chillin in the retired crowd- my foster mom knows the perfect home is out there and she is bound and determined to get it right this time. She'll rub against your legs and asks for pets but does not like to be held. She loves to play with toys, roll around on the floor, and wrestle with other kitties. Miss Ari is a beautiful, sweet-natured mama cat who has come such a long way since arriving in late July with six kittens. After raising her babies and being spayed, Ari was understandably very scared and unsure of humans. At first, she came across as almost feral and wouldn’t allow hands anywhere near her. But with time, patience, and kindness, she has begun to truly blossom.

Over the past couple of months, Miss Ari has discovered that she loves gentle attention. She now happily accepts head and chin scratches, enjoys scritches, and will never turn down a tasty treat. Just this week, she reached another big milestone—allowing a second person in the home to pet her as well!

Ari absolutely adores other cats and is very submissive and friendly with them. She’s always trying to play with her feline friends and would do wonderfully in a home with another kind kitty. She’s also learning to coexist peacefully with dogs. When she’s feeling comfortable, she loves to play, roll around, and show off her adorable side.

Miss Ari will need a patient, understanding home where she’s given time to adjust and continue building trust. But her progress has been incredible, and there’s no doubt she’ll settle in just as she has here—with love and consistency.

Daphne is an almost 2-year-old spayed female with the heart of a true hero. She came into Harnett County Animal Shelter in late September with her own two kittens, and when three abandoned kittens were introduced to her, she didn’t hesitate for a second—she lovingly adopted and nursed them as if they were her own. Watching Daphne care for all five kittens with such tenderness has been incredibly special and truly a privilege.

Now that her kittens are growing up and Daphne has been spayed, she’s had time to relax and show her gentle, sweet nature. She purrs when she sees her familiar person and, once she trusts you, will happily sit beside you in the evenings, quietly keeping you company. Her bond with her kittens—especially Charlie—is especially touching.

Daphne would do best in a calm, peaceful home. She is not a fan of barking dogs, so a dog-free home would be ideal unless introductions are very slow and the dogs are calm and cat-savvy. Her perfect match would be a quiet household, a single person or calm family, or—best of all—a co-adoption with one or two of her kittens.

Minnie would do best as an only cat or possibly with one other cat given a proper, slow introduction. She can be a bit of a bully, though it seems to come more from social awkwardness than meanness. Surprisingly, Minnie does great with dogs — even better than with other cats!

She would do well as an only cat or with other feline friends, as long as she gets plenty of love and engagement. Wesley is a big goofball who loves to play and roll around. He is the basic orange cat with very few brain cells. He seems oblivious and is very clumsy, he's really funny. He is so sweet and loves to cuddle, making biscuits and purring so loud. He is growing like a weed and will likely be a big boy! He is super soft and has beautiful markings. He loves other cats and does well with dogs.

Emily Prentiss is so adorable and has a super soft and thick coat. She is confident and friendly. She can be held just long enough to rub her face against yours in greeting. She doesn’t hang out in your lap but she’ll be next to you and loves to come to you for pets. Most of her days are spent napping and bird watching, and she also loves a great play session chasing the feather wand. She loves hanging out with her sister Penelope Garcia so if you’re interested in a pair of females, these are the girls for you. They are not a bonded pair and can be separated.

Penelope is calm and confident. She will hang back to let her sister Emily Prentiss control the toys and games. She also patiently waits her turn for pets. They would make a great pair if you’re looking for two females. Penelope is very sweet and loves attention. She looks to play with kicker toys more than anything. She spends most of her time napping and hanging out with her sister.

India is a petite girl who’s as sweet as they come, though a bit shy with new people. She loves running on the cat wheel and would be happiest curled up in a cozy lap. He is a professional biscuit maker and deserves to bake his own family some biscuits!! Sugar Ray is a little older and is an incredibly polite guy (as in barely explores counters, no wire chewing, and minimal claw sharpening outside of designated scratchers!). Truly cannot emphasize how sweet and docile he is. Sugar Ray does amazing with other cats (currently living with four), but has not had exposure to dogs. Sugar Ray is ready to complete your family and make every day you have better with his sugary sweet purrrs-onality!

Don’t let his small size fool you — Marley is packed with personality. This charming gray tabby boy has a heart of gold and a motor that never stops purring. He loves chasing feather toys, wrestling with his littermates, and supervising whatever his foster mom is doing (quality control is important, after all).
Marley has a gentle nature and a joyful spirit that wins over everyone he meets. He’s playful, affectionate, and full of curiosity about the world around him. Magpie is a quirky girl looking for an equally quirky home. She will hang out with you at home, lounging on the back of your chair, next to your lap or just amusing herself watching fish or birds. She has the cutest squeaky meow and can be chatty. You will also need to make room in your bed for her. Caution - she might steal your pillow! She is very shy at first - give her enough time to know you’re safe and then she is all yours.

Meet Martian! He is the best little snuggle-marshmallow without being a needy kitty.

He started his life outside in a cat colony and received his ear tip badge of honor. But his love of people and laps got him a place in a foster home. He is SO ready to find his forever family. You can expect him to snuggle in your lap and preferably up against your neck. He’ll also snuggle in bed if he can get away with it. He doesn’t mind being carried around (It’s just another form of snuggling, right?) But he is not a Velcro cat - he will go off and play if you’re busy and he’ll nap while you’re away at work. Sometimes he can play a little rough. But he is still a bit of a kitten and learning. He does well with all other cats.

Isobel is a stunning blue-gray beauty with short, dense, velvety fur that feels as soft as she looks. She’s approximately 2 years old, past the kitten chaos and fully settled into her calm, loving personality. A devoted former mama, Isobel has a naturally nurturing spirit. She adores people and truly blossoms with attention, but she carries herself with a quiet, laid-back confidence. She’s not demanding — she simply enjoys being near her humans.

Her favorite things are the simple ones: snoozing in a sunny window, relaxing beside you after a long day, and quiet companionship while you read, watch TV, or work from home.

I like to nibble on you. It never hurts, it’s always gentle. It’s just my thing. I’m learning how to play. I’ve learned my favorite toy is the track with a jingle ball in it that I can push around. I sure do enjoy wet food. I can handle being held, toes touched, belly touched. Don’t be alarmed if I nibble you, though.
