A lifetime decision—and a lifetime of love
Make sure home is ready for forever.
- Everyone in the household agrees
- Your lease or HOA permits cats
- You can provide routine and emergency veterinary care
- You have time for attention, play, and daily litter care
- Resident pets can be introduced gradually
- Adopters must be at least 18
- Household pets receive regular veterinary care
- Adopted cats remain safely indoors
- Declawing is prohibited
- The cat returns to Facilitate Rescue if care is no longer possible
Too young to adopt—but ready to bond?
Ask about foster-to-adopt.
In some circumstances, an approved adopter may be able to welcome a kitten home while the kitten awaits spay or neuter surgery and final veterinary care.
- The adoption is not final until required care is complete.
- Facilitate Rescue coordinates the required procedures.
- Additional conditions are explained in the foster-to-adopt agreement.

How long does application review take?
The rescue’s current guidance is generally 24–48 hours, though a volunteer may need additional time to reach references or gather information.
Can I meet a cat before applying?
Because cats live in private foster homes, meet-and-greets are arranged after an application has been reviewed rather than offered as walk-in visits.
Can I adopt if I rent?
Yes, provided your lease and landlord permit cats. The rescue may ask for confirmation before an adoption is finalized.
Can I adopt if I already have pets?
Often, yes. The best match depends on the individual cat, your resident pets, and your ability to make slow, careful introductions.
Do kittens have to be adopted in pairs?
Young kittens often benefit from another kitten or a compatible feline companion. The rescue will explain what is best for the kitten you are considering.
What is foster-to-adopt?
In some circumstances, an approved adopter may welcome a kitten home before required veterinary care is complete. The adoption is finalized after the rescue’s requirements are satisfied.
Can an adopted cat go outdoors?
No. Facilitate Rescue cats are adopted as indoor companions so they remain safe from traffic, predators, disease, and other hazards.
What if the adoption does not work out?
Contact Facilitate Rescue. Adopted cats must be returned to the rescue rather than transferred, sold, surrendered elsewhere, or given away.
