India
India (Indie) is a petite girl who’s as sweet as they come, though a bit shy with new people. She is still startled by the loud noise of you entering the house but eventually makes her way over to you. She has been gaining confidence in her foster home. She loves running on the cat wheel and would be happiest curled up in a cozy lap. She likes sitting in her cat tree watching the birdies. If you are going to be out of the house, having a cat wheel will make sure she gets her exercise. She loves striding along on it. She just needs a little time to warm up—once she does, her sweetness truly shines. Raised with other cats and a dog, she’s well-socialized and gentle at heart. She loves playing. She enjoys anything on a string/stick. She will chase it, grab it, and go hide it. She is a submissive kitty, so she needs a gentle companion who will sit by her, play with her, not swat at her. She does best with other cats. She may hiss the first few times meeting a new animal but then warms up to them. She hisses because she is scared, not out of aggression. She is a gentle, loving companion waiting on you! First impressions don’t always show you someone’s real character, especially not Indie’s. Once past her initial shyness, she is great to just sit and spend time with.
